Red Door Management
Believe it or not, I lost all tangible evidence of this site in a disk crash several years ago and had resigned myself to trying to explain it here in a way that would sound convincing.
Then, just the other day, while sorting through a pile of old unmarked CDs, I found one I must have backed everything up to and had long since forgotten.
Amongst lots of other stuff I'd rather forget, I found all my original Red Door files. It's not a good story but it's true.
Anyway, the site was made for a photographic agency representing a number of photographers in the advertising and modelling world, and featured a rather interesting system of navigation. The user 'walked' along a corridor and could choose to go one of the doors into a room where each of the photographers' work was displayed on the wall. It was all rather natty for 1999 I thought.
A few tweaks were made over the next few months, and the selection of photos expanded. I stopped work on the site soon after that and some years later it was re-designed by another agency.
